Ban Chiang National Museum

Today we went to Ban Chiang National Museum. Ban Chiang is a small village in Udon Thani province. It is considered one of the most important prehistoric archeological site in Thailand. It is a small village where people live in simple and peaceful life. However, after the unexpected discovery of ancient artifacts the village became known throughout the world as a world heritage site.

Inside the Ban Chiang Museum has many artifacts such as ancient Jars, potteries, Baked Clay Rollers, Bronze Spearpoint, Bronze neckband, Bronze ladle, Marble bracelets, Bronze bracelets, Arm bones with ivory bangles, beads, etc.

Here you can also see the lifestyle of ancient people especially the way they buried their loved ones. Bones of ancient people are preserved inside the museum too.
